Terms of service
Last updated 2026-10-25 · Version 2026-10-25
The short version
CostAssured reads your usage and billing metadata, never writes to your accounts, and gives you findings you decide what to do with. You own your data, and you can disconnect and delete it at any time.
Who we are
CostAssured is run by Critical Cloud Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number [company number]. These terms are the agreement between you, or the organisation you sign up for, and us.
What the service does
CostAssured connects to platforms you choose, using a credential you create, and reads usage and billing metadata and configuration inventory. It produces a report of findings, each labelled by how safe it is to change, with the savings it could return.
CostAssured never writes to a connected account. Where a finding has a fix, we explain the steps or generate a file for you to review and apply yourself. We do not apply anything.
Your account and your credentials
You must be able to bind your organisation to these terms. Create credentials with the least access the guide asks for, keep them confidential, and revoke them in the platform when you stop using the service. You can disconnect a platform in CostAssured at any time, which destroys the stored credential.
Findings and savings
Findings and savings figures are estimates built from the data the platform exposes and, where you give us one, your commitment document. They are not a promise of a particular saving. You decide whether to act, and you are responsible for checking a change in your own environment before you make it.
Plans and payment
The Free plan has no charge. Paid plans are billed as shown when you buy them, in advance, with tax added where it applies. [Cancellation and refund terms to follow.]
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to access an account you are not authorised to connect, to interfere with the service, or to resell it without our agreement.
Liability
[Limitation of liability, warranties and indemnities to be drafted by our solicitor.] Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes, ending the agreement and law
If we change these terms we publish a new version with a new date and ask you to agree to it before you continue. You can stop using the service and delete your organisation at any time. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. [Jurisdiction and dispute terms to be confirmed.]
