The short version
The public pages set no cookies. We remember two choices on your device if you make them, and signing in sets the cookies the product needs to work. We set no advertising cookies.
What this notice covers
This notice covers cookies and similar technologies, such as your browser local storage, on costassured.ai and the CostAssured app. It is run by Critical Cloud Limited, which is the controller.
The public pages
The public pages set no cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, and nothing on these pages follows you to other sites.
We count visits to the public pages without cookies and without using them to identify you or follow you across sites, using the anonymous page-view statistics of our hosting provider. We remove the query string from every address before it is counted. [How to object, to follow.]
Choices we remember on your device
If you choose a light or dark theme, we keep that choice in your browser local storage so the next page opens the way you left it. If you change the currency or the billing period on the pricing page, we keep that choice the same way.
These are stored only when you make the choice, stay on your device, and are not sent to us. You can clear them in your browser settings at any time.
When you sign in
Signing in sets cookies the product needs to work. Without them you could not stay signed in, so they do not depend on your consent. They are:
A sign-in session cookie, with a name that starts with sb-, which keeps you signed in until you sign out or it expires. [Session length to be confirmed.]
cg_active_org, which remembers which organisation you last chose, for one year.
ca_signup_consent, set only during sign-up, which carries your agreement to the Terms and Privacy notice through the email link. It lasts one hour, applies only to the sign-in path, and is not readable by scripts.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the sign-in cookies you will not be able to sign in. Clearing your local storage resets the theme and pricing choices to their defaults.
Changes to this notice
If we start to use a cookie or similar technology that this notice does not describe, we update this notice first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before we set it.
